During birthdays, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, it’s no surprise to see cake being served. It is because it is considered a special dish, especially when it is homemade. But you don’t have to wait for a special occasion to eat one, make these delicious meat pies at home and it will feel like the holidays!

Meatloaf overload

What do you need:

  • 1/2 kilogram of ground beef, cooked

  • 1 egg

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 1 piece 9-inch no-bake pie crust

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes prepared

  • 1 cup whole corn kernels

  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce

Combine cooked beef, egg, onion, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato sauce in a bowl. Spread the corn kernels evenly over the crust and then top with the meat mixture. Top with mashed potatoes and then sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake the cake in a preheated oven (350 degrees F) until the cheese is melted and lightly browned, about 30 to 40 minutes.

Creamy turkey pie

What do you need:

  • 2 cups cooked turkey, cut into small pieces

  • 2 cups mixed vegetables

  • 1 1/2 cup condensed cream of chicken

  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded

  • 1 package of 9-inch double crust cake

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon seasoned pepper mix

Place 1 puff pastry in a baking dish and set aside. In a large bowl, combine the turkey, mixed greens, cream of chicken, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture over the prepared cake base and then top with the remaining cake base. Pinch edges of crusts to seal. Using a sharp knife, make a cut in the top of the cake. Bake in a preheated oven (350 degrees F) for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the filling is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 1 3/4 cup refried beans

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup salsa, slightly drained

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons taco seasoning

Press batter into greased deep plate pie pan. Spread the beans evenly over the batter and then top with sour cream. Season the cooked ground beef with taco seasoning and then sprinkle over the sour cream. Top with sauce and top with cheddar cheese. Bake in a preheated oven (350 degrees F) for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
