Choose Luxury Pool Villas Over Hotels When Staying In Thailand

If you’ve decided that you’re going to make Thailand your next vacation destination this year, you’ll need a little help deciding where to stay. Don’t get me wrong, there is certainly no shortage of amazing places to stay, although there are incredible, and then there is perfection. Why not enjoy the latest and make your vacation an unforgettable life experience?

In this article, we’re going to explore a few different reasons why you should choose to stay at a luxury villa resort with a private pool this year, rather than a hotel. Now, it is important to note that Thailand has some of the most wonderful hotels in the world. I’m not saying you won’t have a good time if you settle for a hotel. All I’m saying is that a luxury villa complex with a private pool is something else entirely.

Take it from someone who has actually been there, did it, and got the Chang beer vest. I lived in Thailand for the better part of 3 years and I fully intend to return before the year is out. Stayed in all kinds of accommodations, trust me I know what I’m talking about when I say luxury pool villas in Thailand are simply to die for.

I’ve slept in a little beach hut with nothing but a futon on the floor, with just a tattered net and a rickety floor fan to comfort me. And even then, I had the best time of my life! So, you can imagine my joy the moment I set foot in one of the most beautiful and serene resorts I have ever seen …

You feel very special

Whether you are staying in a ramshackle cabin, a 3-star hotel, or the best resort in Thailand; you will receive excellent service, there is no doubt about that, that is why they call it the land of smiles. Due to the unmatched level of service Thais have to offer, yet another reason to choose Thailand as your next vacation destination.

But there is something different when you stay at a luxury resort … you feel even more special. It is not so much the additional treatment you receive, but the fact that you are not cluttered in a building. You have room to breathe and marvel in peace and quiet, something you won’t be able to experience much of if you stay in Bangkok.

You can really immerse yourself in the serenity of nature

Yes, I know it sounds corny, but there is a lot of truth to it. When you’re surrounded by nothing but lush emerald green foliage, stunning fishtail palm trees, and the gentle sea breeze that glides over the Andaman Ocean … you can’t help but get caught up in all of this.

About 20% of Thailand is covered with mountains and hills; a staggering number when you think about the size of the country. However, it is a wonderful feeling to be dwarfed by the beautiful green giants. I found myself wandering around smiling like an idiot most of the time, because you are constantly in awe of how beautiful Thailand really is!

Again, there are many impressive hotels to choose from, although few can bring you as close to nature as one of Thailand’s luxury villa complex with private pool.

Did someone say PRIVATE pool?

Don’t forget, when you stay in a hotel you have to share the pool with the other guests. Which is not so bad, as it is a great opportunity to make friends. Although if you ask me, I’d rather make friends at the bar, not meet them while potentially floating in their urine!

No, I prefer my own private pool, right? With just the stunning green foliage silently peeking around you. When you consider that the average temperature in Thailand is 34 degrees during the summer, you are going to need it!

Even if you go during May and November, which is known as the ‘rainy season’, you will still have temperatures of around 29 degrees (with even higher humidity levels). You better get out of the pool. Although, at the same time, the view from your villa will be absolutely incredible. I sat down and watched many storms unfold in Thailand and it is one of the most impressive and spectacular events one can witness. (As long as you are well and dry, of course)

Be quiet…

When staying in a hotel, there is no guarantee who will be in the room next to you. Most of the time you’ll be fine, although when you have a hangover as hell and you’re trying to nurse a Bloody-Mary in peace, but there’s an army of screaming kids jumping in and around the pool … well, you get it the idea.

And again, Thailand isn’t really famous for its peace and quiet, is it? Believe it or not, there is so much to enjoy, all you need to do is find the right place.
