Hammerfall RPG on MySpace

Social websites seem to have taken over the entire internet. Wherever you go, you will see the launch of popular web 2.0 applications. Some of these apps are for business, some are for leisure and entertainment, and some are just useless. But most of all, the great apps eventually rise to the top.

Games on social websites like MySpace are gaining popularity very quickly. Online games have always been very popular in the gaming industry. On the internet, you quickly learn whether the game has what it takes to be a great game or not. If it spreads quickly by word of mouth, you know you have a winner. But if it sizzles and silently dies down, maybe it’s time to move on.

When you visit a website like MySpace and join as a member, you discover that there are numerous games that you can install. Hammerfall is one of the latest additions.

Hammerfall is a social RPG game. Like many other RPGs, you start out as a basic character. Your character has Health, Stamina, Energy, Power (Attack Strength), and Stamina (Defense). As you fight and perform missions during the game, your health, energy, and stamina will decrease. Unlike many RPGs, Hammerfall passively regenerates your stats. This makes the game more challenging and interesting. In other words, you have to be very careful about the choices you make. Every time you decide to use your resources, you will need to think about how you can balance yourself to deal with other issues that may arise.

A game on MySpace is different from an RPG that runs on the latest 3D engine. Most of the game happens in text format. But you get a visual representation of the game, in the form of a map and images. From the visual map, you can quickly see where you are starting from and where you are going.

As you clear the missions in the game, the story begins to unfold. You start on a small island called Summervale, which is part of the Kalamar Empire. For reasons few know, the Kalamar Empire is infested with wandering orcs and goblins. You and your friends, starting in Summervale, will fight monsters and other bosses. Hopefully, you will get to the point where you learn what the reasons are.

Bosses are one more attraction for the Hammerfall game. Usually for role-playing games on a social platform, the outcome of the battle is always automatically generated by the game. This result is based on the stats of the boss and your character when the fight takes place. The result is determined by a formula. In Hammerfall, you can influence the outcome while the fight is in progress. In other words, fighting bosses is a more interactive process.

To date, the game has more than 4000 reviews from enthusiastic players. With such a large amount of feedback, developers will have a lot of ground to cover. As Hammerfall unfolds, it will become a winner if the developers listen long enough.
