Nokia 6288 – Even better!

Set Nokia 6288 and Nokia 6280 side by side, and look at the difference. Most likely you won’t find anything. This is because, like its predecessor, the Nokia 6288 has many things in common. Be it the dimensions, weight and size of the screen, the specifications of the camera, the amount of internal memory or the applications. So why did the manufacturer release a new phone? The answer is because Nokia 6288 is a firmware update of the 6280. That is, the new phone comes with an altered keyboard gap layout difference, glossy finish, and a larger miniSD card included in the package.

Like 6280, the Nokia 6288 is a square slider. Both the top and the front fascia of the phone have a 320 x 240 pixel screen, with a large navigation key below it. Pressing the slider brings up a grid-like keyboard, which has silver highlights. In the upper left corner, the VGA camera remains. It is almost invisible and very calm and refined. The back of the 6288 has a glossy black finish and is occupied by a 2 MP camera. Zooms in with flash and a small fisheye mirror for self-portrait. You can also hold the device horizontally to capture snapshots, which certainly extends the feel of a digital camera.

When it comes to features, the Nokia 6288 is certainly in tune with corporate life. The device offers 3G data transfer speeds, tri-band compatibility, and support for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP email. In addition, the phone also allows you to make video calls and share videos. And for video ringtones, the Nokia 6288 fits the bill. Nokia 6288 also has some complaints. The slider is not that reliable and tends to open on its own. Also, there are some reset and signal loss issues. However, the phone offers a good compromise between business and entertainment.
