Public address systems are used as a means of distributing sound in a given space, for example, in a school or church. The number and size of the PA team differs depending on the size of the venue. While schools, restaurants, or house parties would want smaller amplifiers with fewer features, nightclubs, commercial buildings, and concerts would need larger, high-performance PA systems.
The amplifiers, the speakers are that PA equipment that needs each other to work. For example, while an amplifier amplifies sound and provides input to speakers, the speaker produces output for the audience to hear. Any PA equipment installation will require at least the first two for a basic setup.

The amplifier is a sound-amplifying public address equipment, which raises the frequency of the original sound produced. There are types of it and their uses:
Preamp: Prepares the sound at the level from where it is sent to the mono amps for further amplification. These are used in conjunction with mono amps in studios or gigs.
Monoplane Amplifier: These amplifiers have the basic function of providing input to the speakers. They are often used in mosques, temples, and places that require maximum performance. Their sizes differ depending on the required output from them.
Public Address Amplifier – Mono amplifiers are often used in multi-zone structures, such as educational institutions, where output is required in multiple zones of buildings at different intervals.
The loudspeaker is a public address system that converts electrical impulses into sound and addresses the crowd. There are varieties of speakers that are often found in different shapes in different places.
Ceiling or wall speakers: Due to their clamp system, they are suitable for installations in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools or any place that requires a short distance speaker chain.
Column Speakers – These are typically much larger sizes ranging from 10″ to 20″ and provide maximum performance for addressing a large crowd. Sometimes these are installed at events, concerts or live shows to generate results in a large space.
Therefore, if there had not been a public address system, it would have been impossible to address the crowd with the same ease as now. Amplifiers and Speakers play a key role while Megaphones, Microphones, Reflex Horns among other PA equipment are used to address other places.
